A backyard we can finally enjoy 🌿

We have been living in our home for almost six years, but unfortunately, we have never really been able to enjoy our backyard. At the moment, it is essentially just dirt, with no proper paving, grass, or usable space for me or the children to enjoy. As a single mother, I have always had to carefully prioritize where our money goes. When we moved into this house, it was completely unfinished — we received it in a shell condition and had to build and complete everything from scratch. Because of that, saving enough money for a proper backyard renovation has never been possible. Now, I would love to finally change that. The backyard needs quite a bit of work: the existing soil needs to be removed and new soil brought in, paving and grass need to be installed, and there are also significant labor costs involved. We estimate that the complete renovation will cost somewhere between $6,400 and $12,000. I am hoping to raise $6,400, which would allow me to cover the remaining costs myself. This would mean so much to us. It would not simply be a nicer backyard, it would give us the opportunity to actually enjoy our home and create a place where the children can play safely, spend time outside, and make memories. I would also love for it to become a welcoming little social space where children from the neighborhood can play together and families can enjoy being outside. We have waited a long time for this, and being able to finally create a backyard that meets the basics of a comfortable, safe outdoor space would bring a lot of joy into our lives.
